By combining advanced data analysis with a home’s thermal inertia, Ngenic Energi helps households reduce their heating costs by 20–40 percent—while improving indoor comfort.
When weather conditions, electricity prices, and energy consumption change rapidly, heating costs can spiral out of control. Ngenic Energi has developed a solution that instead uses this variability to its advantage. Using machine learning, weather data, and the building’s ability to store heat, the heating system is optimized proactively and automatically.
“Using weather forecasts, temperature data, and the home’s built-in heat storage, among other things, our system can take action before changes occur. This results in lower costs and a comfortable, consistent indoor climate,” says CEO Fredrik Lemming.
Quick installation – long-lasting results
Installation of the company’s basic system takes about 20 minutes. Afterward, the system continuously monitors temperature, humidity, and sunlight to optimize energy use. The solution can also take current spot prices and power rates into account, allowing heating to be adjusted to the most cost-effective times.
For single-family homes with hydronic heating, the potential savings range from 20 to 40 percent, depending on the property's specific conditions and the services used.
Interestingly, it is not just the cost savings that customers appreciate.
“Many people contact us to save money, but after installation, it’s the consistent indoor temperature and comfort that they highlight as the biggest benefit,” says Fredrik Lemming.
Participating in Swedish Scaleups – Setting Its Sights on Northern Europe
Ngenic is a new participant in the Swedish Scaleups growth program, which focuses on creating structures for sustainable and profitable expansion.
“We want to grow in a controlled manner while maintaining healthy profitability. In three years, the plan is for us to have established ourselves throughout Northern Europe,” concludes Fredrik Lemming.
